Hi! I’m Nour, the founder of nuun - the face behind the cake! 

After years working in the art and culture sector, I decided to change my life’s path and follow my love of all things baked. I trained in some of London’s top pastry kitchens including Sushi Samba and The Modern Pantry. Kitchen life was brutal and the cut throat nature of the London food scene was a harsh reality. My hopes of opening a café of my own became a dream deferred. 

However, shortly after my daughter turned one and we had collectively lived through a year of lockdowns, I re-imagined my vision. I launched my cake business in 2021 with a laser-focused mission. Creative Contemporary Cakes by nuun was born.    

In bringing together my skills in fine pastry and professional experience of working in the arts, I have the privilege of being part of people’s most important milestones. 

This is not an honour I take lightly. 

Each cake produced in my North London kitchen is an entirely unique labour of love. I relish the challenge of turning a feeling, a memory or an important place into a cake-able concept. 

The joy is in the journey, the proof in the pudding. It truly is the process of making Art You Can Eat.
